This new docudrama uses recently unearthed recordings of Gein to explore both his crimes and the impact he had on pop culture as one of the first serial killers. He was eventually found not guilty by reason of insanity and spent the rest of his life in an asylum. Known as the Mad Butcher and the Plainfield Ghoul, Gein was arrested in 1957 for the murders of several women, as well as exhuming corpses for his own use.
